Barbecue Country Pork Ribs

  • slow cooker, small bowl


  • 2 lbs boneless country pork ribs (about 6)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Brown pork ribs in oil sprayed slow cooker on high.
  • Add onions, salt and pepper to taste.
  • After ribs have browned , mix the sauce with the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and pour over the ribs. Reduce heat to low and cook covered 6 to 8 hours .
  • Make gravy with juices . Serve with mashed or baked potatoes .
