
I love mashed potatoes! Making this stew and pouring it over mashed potatoes is a favorite meal of mine. My Mom used to make this often.
I remember walking into our house and knowing it was beef stew by the scent of the bay leaf. It brings back wonderful memories.

Beef Stew

Equipment
- slow cooker
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef stew meat
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 lb baby carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- In slow cooker brown stew meat ,sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle flour over meat and mix.
- Add water, onion, carrots and bay leaf.
- Cover and cook 6 to 8 hours on low. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove bay leaf.
